Vote for Real Bedford’s August 2026 Player of the Month

Real Bedford won all six Southern League Premier Central fixtures in August, scoring 20 goals and conceding just six to finish the month top of the table with a perfect 18 points. Victories over Leamington, Peterborough Sports, Banbury United, Stratford Town, Halesowen Town and Leighton Town made it an opening month to remember. See August’s results

Four players have been shortlisted for our August Player of the Month award: Craig King, Josh Allen, Conor Tee and Sam Collins.

Craig King

King provided a commanding presence between the posts throughout the month.

The goalkeeper produced important saves at crucial moments, including two vital saves in victory over Halesowen Town and Leighton Town. His assured performances helped the Pirates record clean sheets away to Peterborough Sports and Halesowen as part of an unbeaten opening month.

Josh Allen

Allen began the campaign in outstanding form, scoring six league goals during August.

He struck twice in the 2-0 victory at Peterborough Sports, found the net and provided an assist at Banbury United, and punished a defensive mistake with a composed finish at Halesowen. Conor Tee

Tee delivered a series of spectacular moments during an influential month.

He opened his league account with the decisive third goal against Leamington before curling home a superb free-kick in the 6-1 win over Stratford Town. He completed August with another outstanding strike against Leighton, cutting inside and firing an effort in off both posts. Read the Stratford match report

Sam Collins

Collins was a composed and consistent presence at the heart of the Pirates’ midfield.

His energy and willingness to take possession helped Real Bedford control matches and build attacks from deeper positions. Collins also demonstrated his defensive discipline when required, contributing at both ends of the pitch as the team collected maximum points from a demanding six-game schedule.
