Real Bedford Women are back in FAWNL Cup action as they travel to The Hive for their latest Group P fixture.

Having already faced Northampton Town in the competition, the Pirates will be looking to build on their campaign and put in another strong showing on the road.

Opposition Focus

The Bees currently compete in the FAWNL Division One South East and have made a perfect start to their 2026/27 league campaign, winning their opening two matches with six goals scored and just one conceded.  

The two sides know each other well, having shared the same division during Real Bedford’s 2024/25 title-winning campaign. The first meeting came at The Hive in August 2024, when the Pirates claimed an entertaining 3-2 victory. They met again at The Ledger Stadium that December, with the Bees twice coming from behind to earn a 2-2 draw.  

More recently, Real Bedford returned to The Hive during preparations for the current season. Charlie Bill’s side produced an impressive pre-season display to record a 5-0 victory, with Izzy Lane, Fields-Davis, Byrom, Mehmet and Cunnison all finding the net.  

Real Bedford head into the fixture following their 5-1 victory over Northampton Town in their opening FAWNL Cup match, while London Bees endured a difficult start to their Group P campaign, falling to a 7-1 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur U21 at The Hive.

Getting to The Hive

By Car – From the M25
From M25 Junction 21, take the M1 southbound towards London. Continue until the M1 merges with the A41 Edgware Road. Stay on the A41 through Edgware and follow signs for Canons Park or Stanmore. Turn left onto Camrose Avenue when signposted and continue until you reach The Hive.

By Car – From the M1
Exit the M1 at Junction 4 and take the A41 (Edgware Way) towards Edgware. Continue along the A41 before turning right onto Spur Road, then left onto Stonegrove. Follow the road for just over a mile until Camrose Avenue is on your right. The stadium is approximately one mile along Camrose Avenue on the right-hand side.

By Tube
Canons Park is the closest Tube station and is around a five-minute walk from The Hive Stadium entrance on Whitchurch Lane. Queensbury is another nearby option, with the stadium less than a 10-minute walk away.

By Bus
From Edgware Station, supporters can take the 79, 186, 288 or 340 directly towards the ground. From Queensbury Station, take the 288, which stops close to the club entrance.
