Real Bedford are looking for Volunteer Assistant Videographers

New Signings · 4 November 2026 · By Sebastian Hendrix

Real Bedford FC are looking for Volunteer Assistant Videographers to join our media team for the remainder of the 2026/27 season.

You’ll help capture high-quality matchday footage at men’s and women’s fixtures for the club’s social media channels and YouTube. From warm-ups and key moments on the pitch to goal celebrations and crowd reactions, your footage will be used to put together short social clips and longer matchday videos.

It’s a great opportunity to build hands-on experience in football media, develop your portfolio and see your work published on the club’s channels. You’ll work alongside an ambitious media team that sets high standards for its content and is always looking to raise the quality of what it produces.

What you’ll do

  • Capture a variety of matchday footage that the media team can edit together into finished videos.

  • Work with the media team to cover planned shots and use your initiative to pick out moments as the game unfolds.

  • Send footage promptly and in an organised way, with priority clips shared during or shortly after the match when needed.

What we’re looking for

  • Your own camera capable of capturing high-quality matchday footage.

  • A valid UK driving licence.

  • Availability on Saturdays, Sundays and occasional Tuesday evenings, depending on the fixture schedule.

  • Ability to think on the spot and come up with different video content ideas.

  • A good general knowledge of football and an eye for the moments that tell the story of a match.

  • Confidence filming handheld and framing shots for both vertical social clips and widescreen YouTube videos.

  • Reliability, clear communication and the ability to work independently in a busy matchday environment.

  • A professional approach when filming around players, staff and supporters.

Previous experience filming football or live events would be helpful. We’re happy to see examples from personal projects, college or university work, or other sports. The role is focused on filming and delivering footage, and basic editing skills would be a bonus.
