Rob Sinclair Signs Two-Year Contract
Real Bedford are delighted to announce that Rob Sinclair has signed a new two-year contract with the club.
Sinclair has been a revelation since joining the Pirates from Eynesbury Rovers in May 2022, winning the league in three consecutive seasons.
His first campaign saw him collect 99 points from 38 games in the Spartan South Midlands Division One. The Pirates dropped points in six matches, losing only three times to win the league title by nine points. A 6-0 victory against Elstow Abbey in the Bedfordshire County Cup completed the double for Sinclair in his first season.
The following campaign saw more success for Sinclair’s side, as they edged out MK Irish to the title in the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division after picking up 91 points from 36 games, while also winning the County Cup once again, edging out Cockfosters.
The former Forest Green Rovers midfielder led his team to a third consecutive league title last season, amassing 104 points from 40 games, scoring 129 goals and conceding only 33.
The dramatic 5-5 home draw against Flackwell Heath in February 2025 was Sinclair’s 100th game in charge. Following that draw, the Pirates won 13 out of their last 14 league games.
In 114 league games as manager, Sinclair has won 93, drawn 15 and lost only 6.

Speaking about his new contract, Sinclair said:
“I’m incredibly proud to commit my future to this football club and sign a new deal. From the moment I arrived, I felt something special here, the ambition, the energy, the people.
Pete has built something unique at Real Bedford. His vision, his passion for the town, and his relentless drive to push this club forward is infectious. It’s rare to find an owner so connected to the community and so committed to doing things the right way for the club, for the players, the staff, and the supporters.
A huge part of this decision was also the staff around me. I’m fortunate to work alongside a group of coaches and people who share the same standards, hunger, and values. The work we do every day together is what gives us the foundation to keep improving and keep driving standards.
We’ve built a fantastic group on and off the pitch and I know we’ve only just scratched the surface of what’s possible here. This isn’t just about signing a contract, it’s about committing to a journey that means a great deal to me personally.
We’ve got big ambitions, and I’m fully committed to giving everything I have, every single day, to help this club, this group, and this town achieve them together.”
Chairman Peter McCormack said:
“I'm delighted that Rob has signed a new contract and committed to Real Bedford for another two years. With three titles in three seasons, he's firmly established himself as one of the best managers in non-league football. His relentless work ethic and winning mentality run through every part of the club, and I hope to work alongside him for many more years to come.”
