Real Bedford’s Last-Gasp Double Stuns Opponents In Injury-Time

Real Bedford managed to produce two goals in stoppage time to overcome Alvechurch in a thriller. Super-sub Tom Hitchcock scoring the winner in the 94th minute.
Real Bedford started the game well, Setchell and Allen linked up well to win a corner, Richardson had an effort from the edge of the box, which was saved. The hosts created a couple of good opportunities, and Watkins made a crucial block on the line in the 11th minute.
The Pirates went on to create a couple of good chances. Richardson played Allen through, but his shot was blocked on the line. Just moments later, Stevens had a shot from the edge of the box, which went over. Kieran Wakefield opened the scoring for Alvechurch, and the hosts doubled their lead just two minutes later. Tope Obadeyi was the goal scorer.
Ben Stevens got one back. Shaheim played a perfect ball to Stevens in the box, who put it into the bottom left corner. The Pirates had a positive spell just before the break; the first half ended 2-1 to the hosts.
Second Half
Real Bedford started the second half aggressively, making a number of challenges. Rob Sinclair made his first change, Elliot Simmons and Conor Tee came on to replace Archie Jones and Lee Watkins. In the 65th minute, Allen did well to lay off Stevens, who passed it back to him, whose shot was saved. Josh Allen also came close in the 70th minute.
In search of the equaliser, Real Bedford had a good spell of pressure, but the hosts defended well. The club’s top goal scorer, Josh Allen, managed to score the equaliser in the 84th minute. It was excellent football as Setchell placed the ball into the box for Allen to find the back of the net.
However, Alvechurch managed to go back ahead, and Zac Guinan was the goal scorer. The Pirates found a late equaliser in the 93rd minute. Conor Tee managed to finish his chance well; his shot went into the bottom corner to get the equaliser. Just moments after the equaliser, super-sub Tom Hitchcock completed a stunning turnaround, firing home in the 94th to seal an unforgettable win. Overall, it was an excellent performance and a brilliant result to finish a thrilling contest.
