Teagan Scarlett Joins The Pirates
Real Bedford Women continue to strengthen their squad with the signing of Teagan Scarlett, a young defender who came through one of the country’s top academies.
Scarlett began her football journey at the age of six, joining St Albans City in the under-9’s team. Her talent quickly became clear, and by the under-11s she was also part of the Arsenal development programme, an opportunity that led to a successful trial and a place in the club’s academy.
She joined Arsenal at the under-12 level and progressed through every age group up to the under-21s, enjoying a number of major successes along the way. Among her highlights were an unbeaten league campaign and FA Youth Cup triumph with the under-16s, followed by another league title with the under-21s last season.
On the international stage, Scarlett has represented Wales from under-17 level and currently features for the under-19s. One of the standout moments of her young career came last October when she made her senior debut for Wales against Poland, a significant milestone that underlines her potential at the highest level.
She now looks ahead to the upcoming UEFA Under-19 European Championship qualifiers, where Wales will face England, Switzerland and Latvia.
On joining the club, Teagan Scarlett said:
“It’s a great opportunity to be joining Real Bedford and making that step into senior football, I really look forward to showing what I can do.”
Welcome to the Pirates Teagan.
