Sam Collins Joins The Pirates On Loan

The club is delighted to confirm the signing of Sam Collins, who joins us on loan from King’s Lynn Town for the remainder of the season.

Sam Collins Came through the academy at Nottingham Forest; he joined the Reds at just 10 years old and spent over a decade developing there before leaving in 2025. Collins Progressed through the Under 21’s and he was part of the Nottingham Forest U18 side that reached the FA Youth Cup Final in 2022.

The 22-year-old was considered a long-term academy prospect who trained around the first-team environment, but he suffered a serious broken leg in 2023 which had a huge impact on his development and momentum; he spent long periods in rehab and out of action.

Sam Collins was released by Nottingham Forest in summer 2025 and he signed for King’s Lynn Town which was his first real exposure to senior football. He made over 20 appearances for the Linnets, playing as a central midfielder.

Collins is a composed and technically sharp midfielder who can operate across the middle of the pitch. His energy, creativity and ability on the ball will provide Real Bedford with added quality and depth in midfield.

Sinclair said:

“We’re really pleased to bring Sam in on loan from Kings Lynn. He’s a player with real quality on the ball, works hard and fits exactly how we want to play. He’ll add strength to our midfield and we are looking forward to seeing his impact.”

Welcome to the Pirates, Sam.
