Real Bedford Player of the Month Nominees – September 2025

Rob Sinclair’s side played five games in September, including four Southern League Premier Central matches and an FA Cup replay against Bishop’s Stortford. It was a successful end to the month for the Pirates with three consecutive wins in the league, lifting them to eighth in the table.

Three players have been nominated for the Player of the Month.

Josh Setchell

Josh Setchell missed three games in a row after picking up an injury against Kettering Town in August. He returned against Redditch United, coming on for Lee Watkins at half-time. After a disappointing 2-0 defeat to the Reds, Setchell has scored two and registered two assists in the last three games. This includes goals against Bury Town and Banbury United.

Lewis Hilliard

Lewis Hilliard has made an instant impact since joining the club on 9th September. He has started the last three games, winning all three and scoring his first goal for the Pirates at Worcester City. Hilliard’s calming presence in midfield has already made him a fan favourite.

Josh Allen

Josh Allen has gone from strength to strength after scoring his first goal of the season for the Pirates in late September against Bishop’s Stortford. The 21-year-old has scored four goals in his last two games, including a clinical hat-trick against Banbury United on 23rd September.
