Free Bus Travel for Bedford Football Fans Kicks Off August 9th.
Real Bedford FC and Bedford Town FC are teaming up off the pitch to score big for supporters, announcing a brand-new partnership with local bus operator Grant Palmer to provide free Saturday bus travel for fans heading to matches.
Starting Saturday 9th August, fans can catch a free ride from Bedford Bus Station to Meadow Lane simply by showing either a match/season ticket or club merchandise from either team. Whether you're repping with your scarf, shirt, or badge, it's your ticket to ride.
Real Bedford fans are welcome to gather at Real Coffee before heading to The Ledger Stadium. Whether you’re after a pre-match coffee, beer, or something else, it’s the perfect place to kick off the day. Fans can also pick up a badge if they’re not already sporting club merch.
The bus to the stadium will pick up just around the corner at the Corn Exchange. Real-time updates on bus arrivals can be accessed via the Grant Palmer website. We’re also working to integrate live bus tracking directly into Real Coffee for the upcoming season, so you’ll always know when to head out.
While we’re encouraging staff to give friendly reminders about when it’s time to leave for the bus, please note they may be busy during peak times, so it’s worth keeping an eye on the live data yourself.
Services 72 and 73 will stop straight outside Meadow Lane, with the 74 stopping at Priory Business Park, just a short walk from the action. Buses will run from midday through to the end of the day, so fans can make a day of it without worrying about parking or travel costs.
Whether you're heading to the Pirates or the Eagles, it’s a win-win for the Bedford football community, less traffic, easier access, and more time to soak up the atmosphere before kick-off.
You can check live updates for services 72, 73 and 74 via the Grant Palmer website here.
Come and help us ‘park the bus’ at Meadow Lane by using the service to fill the stands.
