Real Bedford Women begin their FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division campaign on Sunday with a trip to Gloucestershire to take on Cheltenham Town Women.

After an encouraging pre-season, the Pirates will be looking to start the new league season with three points against a familiar opponent.

Opposition Focus

Cheltenham Town Women have established themselves as a competitive side in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division in recent seasons. Managed by Tom Davies, the Robins reached the Fourth Round Proper of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup for the first time during the 2024/25 campaign and have consistently competed at Tier 3 of the women’s game.

The two sides shared the spoils last season, each winning once on opposition soil.

Cheltenham claimed a 4-1 victory at the Ledger Stadium in August before the Pirates responded in emphatic fashion with a 5-1 win at Kayte Lane in January. Sunday’s meeting will provide the opportunity for Real Bedford to make it back-to-back victories on Cheltenham’s home turf.
