OPPOSITION FOCUS

Worcester City sit 19th in the Southern League Premier Central with 10 points from 12 matches. Their record stands at two wins, four draws and six defeats, although they have played two games fewer than the Pirates. 

City head into Saturday’s fixture following a convincing 3-0 victory at Banbury United on Tuesday evening. That result provided a welcome lift after defeats against Rushall Olympic and Stourbridge in their previous two league outings.

Worcester’s recent history has been marked by back-to-back promotions. They won the Hellenic League Premier Division in 2023/24 with 101 points, losing just once in the league and also reaching the FA Vase semi-finals.

Promotion followed again in 2024/25, when City beat Anstey Nomads in the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands play-off semi-final before overcoming Corby Town 2-1 in the final to secure their return to Step Three.

The move to Sixways in 2025 opened another chapter for a club founded in 1902. Their long history includes the Southern League title in 1979 and memorable FA Cup victories over Liverpool in 1959 and Coventry City in 2014.

The Pirates took four points from their two league meetings with Worcester last season.

Our previous visit to Sixways, on 20th September 2025, ended in a 3-1 victory. The return fixture at the Ledger Stadium on 17th March 2026 finished goalless.

Sixways is located close to Junction 6 of the M5. Leave the motorway and follow signs for the A4538 towards Droitwich, then turn left at the next roundabout onto Warriors Way and into the stadium.

Supporters travelling by rail can use Worcester Shrub Hill, Worcester Foregate Street or Worcestershire Parkway, with a taxi needed for the onward journey to Sixways.

Parking

Matchday parking costs £4, payable by cash or card. Supporters paying on arrival should follow the parking attendants’ directions to Car Parks C and E.
