Real Bedford return to Southern League Premier Central action on Tuesday 29th September as Leiston visit the Ledger Stadium.
The Pirates will be looking to respond to Saturday’s FA Trophy defeat against Wingate & Finchley and extend their perfect league start. Eight wins from eight have put Real Bedford top of the table on 24 points, three clear of Bromsgrove Sporting and Bury Town.

OPPOSITION FOCUS
Leiston arrive sitting ninth in the Southern League Premier Central, with 11 points from their opening eight matches. The Suffolk side have recorded three wins, two draws and three defeats, scoring 15 goals and conceding 14.
Their league victories have come against Bishop’s Stortford, Redditch United and Banbury United. The most recent of those was a 2-1 away win at Banbury on 12th September, although they were beaten 2-0 at home by Peterborough Sports in their latest league fixture.
Like the Pirates, Leiston suffered a 3-0 home defeat in the FA Trophy on Saturday. Dartford progressed leaving both teams looking for a response on Tuesday evening.
The Blues are well established at Step 3, having competed at this level since 2012. Their recent history includes a third-place finish in the Southern League Premier Central in 2022/23, the highest league finish in the club’s history and a campaign that earned them a place in the play-offs.
GETTING TO THE LEDGER STADIUM
Fans travelling via the M1 should leave the motorway at Junction 13 before joining the A421 Bedford Bypass. Continue on the A421 before taking the A603 Sandy exit. The Ledger Stadium is approximately 200 yards on the left-hand side of Meadow Lane. Follow the Real Bedford signage upon turning onto Meadow Lane. Sat Nav: MK44 3LW
PARKING
Limited parking is available immediately before the Ledger Stadium on the left-hand side. An overflow car park is also available immediately on the right as you enter Meadow Lane. Supporters are encouraged to arrive early or travel together where possible.
