Real Bedford v Bromsgrove Sporting
Real Bedford return to Southern League Premier Central action on Saturday 10th October as Bromsgrove Sporting visit the Ledger Stadium for a meeting between two of the division’s early frontrunners.
The Pirates will be looking to extend their perfect league start after last Tuesday’s 3-2 victory over Leiston made it nine wins from nine. Real Bedford sit top on 27 points, three ahead of Bury Town and five clear of third-placed Bromsgrove.

OPPOSITION FOCUS
Bromsgrove Sporting arrive with seven wins, one draw and one defeat from their opening nine league matches. Their 22 points represent a strong start following an 18th-place finish last season, when they collected 44 points from 42 games.
Managed by Tim Flowers, the Rouslers retained their management team over the summer as they looked to build on securing their Step 3 status.
Their away record makes them particularly dangerous opponents. Bromsgrove have won all four league fixtures on their travels, beating Needham Market, Redditch United, Worcester City and Stratford Town. Their only league defeat came against Anstey Nomads in August, and they have since put together a six-match unbeaten league run.
A 1-1 home draw with Leamington was their most recent league outing. Like the Pirates, Bromsgrove exited the FA Cup last weekend, losing 2-1 at Bury after earlier victories over Nuneaton Town and Leek Town. They remain in the FA Trophy following a 1-0 win at Racing Club Warwick.
Real Bedford won both meetings between the clubs last season, beginning with a 2-0 victory at the Ledger Stadium on 20th January.
The Pirates completed the double with a 3-1 away win on the final day of the regular league campaign in April.
