Owen Brooks Joins The Pirates
Real Bedford are delighted to announce the signing of versatile forward Owen Brooks from MK Irish.
Brooks began his football journey in the academy system at Northampton Town and Rushden & Diamonds, where he received his early development before progressing into senior football. He gained valuable first-team experience in the non-league game, including a spell with Wellingborough Whitworth, where he earned regular minutes and continued his development at senior level.
Ahead of the 2025/26 season, Brooks joined MK Irish. Operating primarily as a winger but capable of playing across the front line, he enjoyed an impressive campaign, registering 27 goal contributions (17 goals and 10 assists) in 46 appearances across all competitions.
A direct and energetic attacker, Brooks is known for his willingness to take on defenders in one-on-one situations, make penetrating runs in behind, and create opportunities in the final third.
