Real Bedford continue their Southern League Premier Central campaign on Saturday with a trip to The Grove to face Halesowen Town.
The Pirates head to the West Midlands for the final Saturday fixture of August, with another tough test awaiting against a Halesowen side that finished among the division’s leading teams last season.

OPPOSITION FOCUS
Halesowen Town are an established Southern League Premier Central side and have been regular challengers towards the top end of the division in recent seasons. Nicknamed The Yeltz, Halesowen play their home matches at The Grove and are known for attracting some of the strongest attendances in the division.
Last season saw the Pirates and Halesowen share the spoils across two closely contested league meetings.
The first came at The Grove in August, where Real Bedford twice took the lead through Ben Stevens and Joey Evans. Halesowen responded on both occasions before a 84th-minute header completed a 3-2 comeback victory for the hosts.
The reverse fixture at the Ledger Stadium in March produced another dramatic encounter. Josh Setchell put the Pirates ahead before Halesowen equalised, but there was still time for one final twist as Jack Morrell struck in the 96th minute to secure a memorable 2-1 victory for Real Bedford.

GETTING TO THE Grove
Supporters travelling by car are advised to take the A458 towards Kidderminster from Junction 3 of the M5.
After approximately one mile, turn right onto the A459 towards Dudley and continue past the cricket ground. At the next roundabout, turn left onto the A456 towards Stourbridge.
At the following roundabout, take the third exit onto Old Hawne Lane. The Grove is approximately 400 yards ahead on the left.
