OPPOSITION FOCUS
Lewes have collected six points from their opening six league fixtures, recording one win, three draws and two defeats. The Rooks have scored six goals and conceded eight, leaving them eighth heading into the weekend.
Their recent league form has been encouraging. A 1-1 home draw with AFC Bournemouth was followed by a 3-0 victory over Cheltenham Town, before they earned a point from a goalless draw at Portsmouth last Sunday.
Those results mean Lewes have kept consecutive league clean sheets. They are also unbeaten at the Dripping Pan in the league this season, having drawn with Hashtag United and Bournemouth before overcoming Cheltenham. Real Bedford will therefore need to end that home record to take all three points.
The Rooks finished fifth in the Southern Premier Division last season, collecting 37 points from 22 matches. Their record of 12 wins, one draw and nine defeats placed them one position above the Pirates, with seven points separating the sides.
Lewes won both league meetings between the clubs last season.
The Pirates suffered a 2-0 defeat at the Dripping Pan on 31st August 2025, before Lewes secured a 2-1 victory in the return fixture at the Ledger Stadium on 25th January.
