Dré Georgiou Joins Real Bedford Women

Real Bedford Women are delighted to announce the signing of experienced midfielder Dré Georgiou following her departure from Watford.

A composed and intelligent midfielder, Georgiou brings a wealth of experience from across the women’s game. Beginning her senior career with London Bees, she would go on to represent West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Watford, making close to 100 appearances for the Golden Girls during a hugely successful four-year spell at the club.

Known for her leadership, technical quality and consistency in midfield, Georgiou has been a key figure throughout her career. During her time at Crystal Palace she helped establish the club in the FA Women’s Championship before joining Watford in 2022, where she became one of the club’s most dependable performers and a respected leader within the squad.

Comfortable dictating the tempo of a game, Georgiou combines composure on the ball with a tireless work rate out of possession. Her experience across the Championship and FA Women’s National League will add quality, leadership and winning mentality to the Real Bedford squad as preparations continue for the new season.

Bill said: We’re delighted to welcome Drè to the club. She is a player of outstanding technical quality with a wealth of experience at both Tier 3 and higher, and we’re confident she’ll play a key role in helping drive us forward this season.”

Georgiou said: “Excited to get going. New environment, new coaching, new style of play and hopefully I can bring my experience to the team and have a successful season.”

Welcome to the Pirates, Dré.
