Daniel Efobi Joins The Pirates On Loan
In the push for promotion, the Pirates have strengthened the depth of their squad with the addition of Daniel Efobi signing on loan from Cambridge United for the rest of the season.
Daniel Efobi was part of West Ham United’s academy before moving clubs; he joined the Cambridge United academy at U15 level, Efobi went on to become part of the club’s scholarship intake announced in 2025. Cambridge described him as “a ruthless finisher with a real eye for goal.”
Daniel Efobi plays as a centre-forward; he has strong finishing ability alongside instinctive attacking movement. The 16-year-old is part of the youth development system and has not made a senior appearance yet. His appearances mainly come in the FA Youth Cup and U18 league matches.
While still early in his development, Efobi could add valuable depth to Real Bedford’s forward line. His natural goalscoring instincts and movement inside the box give the side another attacking profile, which is important across a busy schedule of league and cup fixtures.
Sinclair said:
“We’re really pleased to bring Daniel in on loan from Cambridge United. He’s a young striker with real potential, hungry, hard working and a great fit for us. I’d like to thank Cambridge for trusting us with his development and we’re looking forward to working with him.”
Welcome to the Pirates, Daniel.
