Ben Weyman Signs For Real Bedford
Real Bedford are delighted to announce the signing of Ben Weyman. The 22-year-old midfielder joins the Pirates after spending last season at Royston Town.
Weyman was an academy player at Luton Town between the ages of eight and 16.
In 2019, he made his first-team debut for Hertford Town. He spent four seasons at the Blues, making over 70 appearances for the club.
The midfielder joined AFC Dunstable for the 2023/24 season, helping the OD’s finish third and qualify for the play-offs, where they lost in the semi-final to Waltham Abbey on penalties. Weyman ended the campaign with four goals in 34 appearances.
Last season, Weyman spent his time at Royston Town in the Southern League Premier Central. He scored five goals in 37 appearances for the Crows as they achieved an 11th-placed finish.

On joining, Weyman said:
“Buzzing to be joining such an ambitious club, excited to meet the lads and get the preparations for the season started. Can’t wait to play in front of the fans!”
Rob Sinclair said:
“Ben’s got a brilliant attitude – he’s grounded, hard-working, and always looking to improve, which is exactly the type of character we want at the club. He’s still young, but he carries himself really well and has real maturity in his game. On the pitch, he’s a really intelligent midfield player who brings energy, composure, and quality in possession.”
Weyman will join Sinclair’s squad for pre-season, which includes an away match against his former club, Hertford Town, on Tuesday 29th July. View the full pre-season fixture list here.
Welcome to the Pirates, Ben
