Real Bedford return to Southern League Premier Central action on Tuesday evening with a trip to Stourbridge, looking to extend our perfect start to the league campaign.

The Pirates head to the War Memorial Athletic Ground following Saturday’s 2-1 FA Cup victory at Harleston Town, where goals from CJ Kiala and Conor Tee secured a place in the Third Qualifying Round.

With seven wins from seven league matches, Real Bedford sit top of the table on 21 points and will be aiming to maintain that momentum under the lights.

Supporters can purchase tickets through Stourbridge’s official online ticket portal, with online sales available until kick-off.

Tickets for supporters aged 13-17 must be purchased online. They will not be available from the matchday ticket office.

Juniors aged 17 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 21 or over.

Admission opens at 6:30pm via the Church End turnstiles, opposite Amblecote Church, with separate arrangements for supporters requiring disabled or wheelchair access.

OPPOSITION FOCUS

Stourbridge, nicknamed the Glassboys, currently sit 11th in the Southern League Premier Central, collecting nine points from their opening six matches.

Two wins, three draws and just one defeat underline the challenge awaiting the Pirates. Stourbridge have played one game fewer than Real Bedford and have proved difficult to beat during the opening weeks of the campaign. 

Their most recent league outing ended in a 1-1 draw at Hitchin Town on 12th September. Pearce put the Glassboys ahead early in the second half, but an 89th-minute penalty from Rhiney denied them all three points.

That followed a 2-0 home defeat to Leamington, and the hosts will be looking to return to winning ways when the Pirates arrive on Tuesday.

GETTING TO THE WAR MEMORIAL ATHLETIC GROUND

The ground is on the A491 High Street, approximately 400 yards north of Stourbridge Ring Road.

Supporters travelling from the south can leave the M5 at Junction 4 and follow the A491 towards Stourbridge, continuing through Hagley, Pedmore and Oldswinford before joining the town’s one-way ring road. Follow signs for the A491 towards Wolverhampton; the ground is on the left shortly after leaving the ring road.

For rail travellers, change at Stourbridge Junction for Stourbridge Town station, which is approximately one mile from the ground.

PARKING

Parking inside the ground is restricted to officials, players and disabled spectators. A public pay-and-display car park on Birmingham Road is approximately five to ten minutes’ walk away.

Please park considerately and avoid Westland Gardens, The Holloway and Stamford Street, as requested by Stourbridge. Supporters requiring disabled parking should contact the host club in advance.
