Real Bedford named August Club of the Month
Real Bedford have been named the Southern League Premier Central’s PST Sports Club of the Month for August 2026 following a perfect start to the league season.
The Pirates won all six matches, collecting 18 points, scoring 20 goals and conceding just six. Two clean sheets and a +14 goal difference helped us finish August top of the table.
Bury Town also won their opening six fixtures, but our superior goal difference secured the award.
Our campaign began with a 4-2 victory over Leamington at the Ledger Stadium, followed by successive away wins at Peterborough Sports and Banbury United.
The Pirates then produced our biggest win of the month, beating Stratford Town 6-1 at home. A 2-0 victory at Halesowen Town made it five wins from five, before a 3-2 home success against Leighton Town completed a perfect August.
