Nina Meollo Signs For Real Bedford Women
Real Bedford are delighted to confirm the season-long loan signing of 21-year-old Philippines international goalkeeper Nina Meollo from Ipswich Town for the 2025/26 campaign. She becomes the second international player to sign for Real Bedford Women, having made her debut for the Philippines in April 2025.
Meollo started playing competitively at the age of nine before eventually playing in the youth setup at Norwich City. In 2020, the Filipino international joined Ipswich Town, making her first-team debut against Queens Park Rangers in the League Cup in 2022.
The 21-year-old spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Cambridge City. The following campaign saw her gain further experience on loan at AFC Sudbury in the FAWNL Division One South East.
She was a standout player for the Yellows, making 20 appearances for the club as they finished seventh.
One of her most impressive displays came during our 0-0 draw with Sudbury on 30th March 2025. Meollo pulled off a number of impressive saves to put our title celebrations on hold.
Five days later, Meollo made her international debut for the Philippines in a 4-1 friendly win against the United Arab Emirates.

The goalkeeper will now join Bill’s squad for the 2025/26 FAWNL Southern Premier Division campaign.
On joining, Meollo said:
“I'm thrilled and beyond grateful to be part of such an aspiring club. I look forward to contributing to the team and facing new challenges. I can’t wait to get started and see what we can achieve this season!”
Welcome to the Pirates, Nina.
