THE OPPOSITION

We finished two points ahead of Norwich City at the top of the FAWNL Division One South East table last season. In the two games against the Canaries in the league, both matches finished level. The first clash at Norwich in October 2024 was 0-0 before Abbie Bensted scored a second half equaliser in a 1-1 draw in the return game four months later.

Andy Cook’s side have enjoyed a perfect start to the 2025/26 season, winning all three games to nil. This includes victories against Actonians, Peterborough United and Queens Park Rangers. The victory against Posh in the FAWNL Cup put the Canaries level on points with Charlie Bill’s side in Group L.

FAWNL Cup Format Explained

We have been placed in Group L of the FAWNL Cup, alongside Cambridge United, Norwich City and Peterborough United.

There are 22 groups in total, with the group winners joined by the 10 best runners-up in the first knockout round that starts on Sunday 19th October. The remaining 12 runners-up and the 20 best third-placed teams will compete in the Plate knockout stage.
