Match Preview: Real Bedford Women vs Fulham Women

Charlie Bill’s side continued their impressive pre-season form, beating Cambridge United Women 4-1 at Swavesey Village College on Tuesday night. The next test is Fulham Women, who won the London & South East Women’s Regional Football League Premier Division last season without losing a game.

This is Real Bedford Women’s first match at home since the 11-1 victory against London Seaward in April, which wrapped up the FAWNL Division One South East title.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of Sunday’s game.

Match Details

  • Date: Sunday 27th July

  • Venue: Ledger Stadium, McMullen Park, Meadow Lane, Bedford, MK44 3LW.

  • Kick-Off: 2:00pm

Tickets

Sunday will be free entry for all supporters.

The Opposition

The Cottagers drew only two out of their 22 league matches, boasting a mammoth goal difference of +87. Kayleigh Stead was the club’s top goalscorer in the league, scoring 15 in 11 starts. Their most recent pre-season clash saw them beat Leyton Orient Women 2-0.

Fulham will play in the fourth tier of the English pyramid in the 2025/26 season and will open their league campaign with a home match against Cambridge.

Merchandise Store

Once you get through the turnstiles at the Ledger Stadium, you’ll see the clubhouse on the right. Inside the clubhouse, you’ll find the club shop where you can buy replica shirts, Real Bedford branded jumpers, t-shirts, accessories and much more.

You can also pre-order the 2025/26 home and away shirts on the club’s online shop here.

Food and Drink

Inside the clubhouse, there is hot and cold food available, including burgers and sausage rolls. We also serve a range of beers thanks to our partnership with Brewpoint. This includes Genesis Stout, Supernova Helles Lager, Foghorn Hazy Session IPA and Lodestar Pacific Pale Ale.

The best place to try out our range of beers is at our Official Brewpoint Hut, located adjacent to the tunnel and opposite the pitch. You can also purchase draft beer inside the clubhouse, especially the Supernova Helles Lager, which is popular on matchdays.

Accessibility Information

There are two bays of disabled parking outside the Ledger Stadium. Inside the ground, there is also a designated area for disabled supporters at the front of the main stand.
