The Opposition
Last season, we faced Cambridge United three times in all competitions. After drawing 0-0 at home in September, we lost 3-1 to the U’s in the third qualifying round of the FA Cup a month later.
Bill’s side got revenge in February 2025, beating Cambridge 2-1 in the league. A first-half brace from Leyla O’Brien secured a huge three points for the Pirates in the title race. Wednesday’s opponents finished ninth in the FAWNL Division One South East.
They started their 2025/26 campaign with a 2-1 defeat away at Fulham. Kimberley Farrow equalised for the U’s in the first-half, but Ellie Olds scored the winner in the 90th minute for the hosts.
