THE OPPOSITION
During the 2015–16 campaign, Barwell made an appearance in the first round of the FA Cup, where they were beaten 2–0 at home by Welling United. In the season that followed, they lifted the Leicestershire and Rutland Challenge Cup after a 3–1 win over Coalville Town in the final. At the conclusion of the 2017–18 season, the club was moved into the Southern League Premier Division Central as part of a wider non-League pyramid restructuring.
The Canaries have had a slightly slow start to the current campaign; they’re currently just three places above the relegation zone in 16th. They come into this fixture on the back of a 3-0 away loss against league leaders Spalding United. Barwell have the home advantage in this fixture and will be looking to secure important points.
