Joey Evans Signs for Real Bedford

Real Bedford are delighted to announce the acquisition of young striker Joey Evans ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Having spent his development years within the MK Dons academy, playing multiple positions across the park. Evans signs for The Pirates from Moulton FC where he managed to score 33 league goals in 36 games, including one against Real Bedford last campaign.

On signing for Bedford, Evans added:

"Having seen what’s been going on at McMullen Park from afar last season, I knew that I would jump at the opportunity to sign for the club if it came along. It’s a great set-up with a really great group of players all keen on progressing this club further which I can’t wait to help out with."

Manager Rob Sinclair stated;

“We’re delighted to have Joey on board. He is an out-and-out goal scorer as shown by his stats last year which impressed us. He’s young, hungry and wants to move up the levels which is a perfect fit for what we have at the club."

Evans has already featured for The Pirates in the pre-season friendly Vs AFC Rushden & Diamonds on Saturday and will be in action once more on Tuesday 11th July against Corby Town at McMullen Park.

Real Bedford welcomes Joey Evans and wishes him all the best with his time at the Pirates.
