Joey Evans Departs REal Bedford

Real Bedford can confirm that Joey Evans has departed the club.

Joey Evans leaves the club having made a tremendous impact across four brilliant seasons. He signed in the summer of 2021, and quickly established himself as a key figure in the squad, combining an excellent work rate with a natural eye for goal.

Since signing in 2021, Evans has been part of a team that has claimed three consecutive league titles, including the Spartan South Midlands League Division One title (2022–23) and Premier Division (2023–24), before securing the Southern League Division One Central title (2024–25) and earning promotion up the English football pyramid each season.

In addition to league success, the club won the Bedfordshire Senior Trophy in the 2022–23 campaign.  Joey’s contributions especially his goals in league campaigns and important performances in title-winning seasons, have been crucial in Real Bedford’s rapid rise through the divisions.

Across his time with us, Joey made 117 appearances in all competitions, scoring an outstanding 87 goals, which shows how influential he has been.

As he moves on to the next stage of his career, everyone at the club would like to thank him for his hard work and achievements.
