Frankie Fry joins as joint assistant manager

We are delighted to announce that Frankie Fry will be joining Real Bedford as joint assistant manager alongside Mark Ducket ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Fry is an experienced coach, having previously worked for Peterborough United and Kettering Town.

Last season, Frankie was the assistant manager at Kettering in the Southern League Premier Division Central. The Poppies lost in the play-off final to AFC Telford United after finishing second on 77 points.

Before transitioning into senior football, Fry experienced a range of coaching roles in youth player development across the UK and the United States. This included working as the Lead U19s Coach at Kettering and the Individual Development Coach at Peterborough.

Fry has also excelled in roles away from the pitch. At Nuneaton Town, he spent time as the club’s Head of Operations in the National League North and was the Recruitment and Opposition Scout at Peterborough.

The newest addition to Rob Sinclair’s backroom staff will join the club immediately.

On joining Real Bedford, Fry said:

“I’m delighted to be here and excited to get involved. I’m a Bedford boy so I’ve been following the club for the past few years, keeping an eye on it. It’s something I’m really excited to be involved in myself now.”

Rob Sinclair on Frankie’s arrival:

“I’m delighted to bring Frankie into the coaching staff. He brings a great attitude, strong attention to detail, and a real desire to help players improve. I’m confident he’ll add real value to what we’re building, both on and off the pitch. It’s an exciting time for the club, and Frankie’s arrival is another step forward in the right direction”

Chairman Peter McCormack’s thoughts:

“Congratulations to Rob on a solid hire here. Frankie is highly experienced and will be a fantastic addition to his team. As we climb through the leagues, we’re focused on growing every part of the club, and this is another strong step forward."
