Real Bedford Hiring Media Assistant and Match Reporter/Feature Writer
Two exciting opportunities to work in the Real Bedford media team have become available. We are looking to recruit a media assistant and a match reporter/feature writer for our men’s and women’s teams.
Both roles include working closely with our Media Team, Seb Hendrix and Curt Taylor. The two roles have been summarised below:
Media Assistant - Key Responsibilities:
Paid Part-time role.
Must be able to attend every men’s and women’s match – Saturday, Sunday and occasionally Tuesdays.
Liaise during the week about content ideas
Record and edit footage using a DJI Osmo Pocket 3.
Capturing footage during a match.
Updating the club’s X account during a match by detailing the key chances/moments.
Interview players and managers post-match.
Full UK driving licence.
Experience Required:
Experience managing social media channels in football.
Comfortable interviewing managers and players post-match.
Strong football knowledge.
Match Reporter/Feature Writer - Key Responsibilities:
Part-time, paid per article.
A match report for every men’s and women’s match – Saturday, Sunday and occasionally Tuesdays (Please note: you don’t have to attend all matches – you can write a report based on notes from X).
Write match previews for all men’s and women’s games - this includes advice on travel, parking details and ticket prices.
Write player features detailing their careers and journey to Real Bedford, e.g. ‘The Rhianne Rush Story’, which you can find here: https://www.realbedford.com/news/the-rhianne-rush-story
Able to send any website article when needed
Experience Required:
Experience of writing about football for an online website/club.
Strong football knowledge.
