Real Bedford 2026/27 Southern League Premier Central Fixtures Confirmed
The wait is over. We can now confirm our fixture schedule for the 2026/27 Southern League Premier Central campaign, with an exciting season ahead.
The Pirates kick off the league season at home against Leamington on Saturday 8th August before a quick turnaround with a trip to Peterborough Sports three days later.
With another highly competitive division awaiting, supporters can already circle several standout dates in the calendar.
OPENING MONTH
After welcoming Leamington to the Ledger Stadium on opening day, Real Bedford face away trips to Peterborough Sports, Banbury United and Halesowen Town during a busy August, while Stratford Town and Leighton Town are the first visitors to Bedford.
FESTIVE FIXTURES
One of the most exciting dates of the season arrives on Boxing Day, as newly-promoted Hitchin Town make the short trip to the Ledger Stadium in what promises to be a thrilling local derby on Friday 26th December.
Supporters can also look forward to a New Year away day at Leighton Town on Saturday 2nd January before Bishop’s Stortford visit Bedford a week later.
KEY DERBIES AND BIG MATCHES
Several eye-catching fixtures stand out throughout the campaign.
Another local side in Kettering Town visit the Ledger Stadium on Saturday 14th November, with the return fixture at Latimer Park scheduled for Saturday 6th February.
Trips to sides such as Banbury United, Halesowen Town and Stamford are all expected to provide stern tests, while meetings with Peterborough Sports, Leamington and Bromsgrove Sporting could prove pivotal in the race at the top of the table.
The RUN-IN
The final month of the season begins with a home clash against Halesowen Town on Saturday 3rd April, followed by the final away trip of the campaign to Needham Market a week later.
The regular league season concludes at the Ledger Stadium on Saturday 17th April, where Real Bedford host Alvechurch in what supporters will hope is another memorable afternoon in Bedford.
FA CUP & FA TROPHY
The Pirates are exempt until the First Round Qualifying of the Emirates FA Cup, which is scheduled for Saturday 5th September, while the club will enter the Isuzu FA Trophy at the Preliminary Round on Saturday 15th August. Fixtures in both competitions will be confirmed following the respective draws.
